A Blessing Turned into a Battle: Save Kaniz and Khalil’s Premature Twins

Dear Friends, Donors & Well-Wishers,

After eight long years of marriage, Kaniz Fatima and Khalil Patel were blessed with twin baby boys. What should have been a moment of immense joy, however, quickly turned into a desperate fight for survival.

The twins were born extremely prematurely at just 28 weeks. Both babies are incredibly fragile and are currently fighting for their lives in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Fathima Children Hospital & Criticare Centre, Jogeshwari (W), Mumbai.

Their father, Mr. Khalil Patel, works as a supervisor in a private company and earns a modest annual income of only ₹1,60,000. The family has already exhausted their life savings and sought help from relatives to manage the initial medical expenses.

The ongoing cost of critical NICU care, however, is far beyond what this family can afford.

  • Condition: Very Low Birth Weight with severe Respiratory Distress
Twin 2
  • Admission: August 15, 2026
  • Birth Weight: 1.130 kg
  • Condition: Very Low Birth Weight with severe Respiratory Distress

Required Medical Care

Both babies require continuous and specialized neonatal care, including:

  • CPAP respiratory support
  • Oxygen support
  • IV antibiotics
  • IV fluids
  • Surfactant injections
  • Continuous NICU monitoring and specialized neonatal care

Doctors estimate that each baby will require a hospital stay of approximately 40 to 45 days to stabilize, recover, and grow stronger.

The Family’s Financial Crisis

The estimated medical expenses for the extensive NICU care, doctors' fees, pathology, respiratory support, medicines, and other treatment requirements are approximately ₹4,50,000 to ₹5,00,000 per child.

This places the family's combined medical requirement at approximately ₹9,00,000 to ₹10,00,000.

With their savings completely exhausted and relatives already approached for assistance, the family has no financial resources left to manage the continuing treatment costs.

How You Can Help

At Help To Cure Foundation, we believe every child deserves access to the medical care they need, regardless of their family's financial circumstances.

Today, we urgently appeal to our community of donors and well-wishers to stand beside this family and help these two fragile newborns receive uninterrupted NICU care.

Every contribution, regardless of the amount, can help provide the medical treatment these babies need to grow stronger and return home safely to their parents.

Your support can give these premature twins a fighting chance at life.

Please come forward, donate generously, and share this appeal with your friends, family, colleagues, and social networks. One contribution or one share could make a life-changing difference.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure that every child and young person receives the care, guidance, and support they need, exactly when they need it—without barriers, judgment, or delay. We believe that no challenge is too small and no situation is too complex to deserve compassion and action.

Whether a young person needs a reassuring conversation during a difficult moment, financial assistance to overcome hardship, access to quality education, professional training to build a better future, or simply the comfort of knowing that they are not alone, we are committed to standing beside them at every step of their journey.

We strive to meet individuals where they are, recognizing their unique circumstances, experiences, and strengths. By responding quickly and thoughtfully, we aim to provide meaningful support that empowers young people and children to regain confidence, develop resilience, and move forward with hope. Our mission is not just to offer help, but to create lasting impact—nurturing potential, restoring dignity, and ensuring that every young life has the opportunity to thrive.

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible.

Our vision is to build a world where no child or young person ever feels alone, unheard, or unsupported, and where help is available to them as soon as they need it. We imagine a future where care, guidance, and opportunities are accessible to every young individual, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Our entire team envisions a society in which every youngster facing struggles—whether emotional, educational, or financial—feels confident enough to reach out for support and finds people ready to stand by them. We want young people to have real access to education, skill development, employment opportunities, and the encouragement they need to move forward with confidence.

By expanding our presence across regions, we aim to be reachable to all who need us. Our vision is rooted in inclusion, compassion, and action—creating communities where hope replaces helplessness and every child and youth has the chance to grow, succeed, and build a brighter future.
