Baby of Satvashila Ganesh Wanjare was born prematurely at just 28 weeks, weighing only 0.620 kg. At just 7 days old, this newborn baby boy is fighting for his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Nimai's Borneo Mother & Child Care Hospital, Thane.
He is battling multiple life-threatening complications including Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), Clinical Sepsis, and complications related to his extremely low birth weight. He remains on ventilator support and requires continuous specialized neonatal care.
The Family's Situation
For Mr. Ganesh Wanjare and Mrs. Satvashila Wanjare, both humble farmers from Yavatmal, Maharashtra, what should have been the happiest moment of their lives has become a heartbreaking struggle.
As first-time parents, they now spend every day watching their tiny baby fight for survival inside an incubator surrounded by life-saving machines.
The family has exhausted all their savings on emergency medical treatment and cannot afford the enormous cost of prolonged NICU care.
Medical Requirement
Doctors have advised that the baby requires 60–65 days of intensive NICU treatment, ventilator support, medicines, and specialized neonatal care to survive.
The estimated treatment cost is ₹6,50,000.
