Help Darshana Heal: Donation Appeal for Life-Saving Heart Surgery

Dear Donors,

We are reaching out with a heartfelt plea for help. The precious daughter, Darshana, who is 1 year and 7 months old, has been diagnosed with moderate patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). This congenital heart defect requires urgent medical intervention, and we need your support to provide her with the necessary treatment.

Darshana’s Journey
Darshana is the youngest of the two children, and her smile brings immense joy to the family. However, over the past several months, we have noticed she struggles with breathing difficulties, has trouble feeding, and frequently falls ill with respiratory infections. After numerous visits to specialists and undergoing extensive tests, we received the heart-wrenching diagnosis of moderate PDA.
PDA is a condition where an extra blood vessel, the ductus arteriosus, remains open after birth, causing abnormal blood flow between the aorta and the pulmonary artery. If untreated, it can lead to severe complications such as heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.

Family Situation
Shankar Raju Kale, Darshana’s father, works as a farmer with an annual income of just Rs. 75,000. Her mother, Anita Kale, is a homemaker, dedicated to caring for Darshana and her older sibling. Despite our best efforts, the cost of Darshana’s treatment is beyond our means.

The Urgent Need for Treatment
Darshana’s doctors have recommended a PDA device closure, a minimally invasive procedure that will repair her heart and save her life. The total cost of this procedure, including hospital stays, medications, and follow-up care, is Rs.175,000. This amount is a staggering mountain we cannot climb on our own.
